Welcome to Making A Difference Through Mentorship! A mentor can be anyone who has a positive, guiding influence on another person’s life; a trusted friend or advisor, or those who help other people succeed and become the best version of themselves.

Making A Difference Through Mentorship (MADTM) has 3 distinct means of mentorship or assisting leaders to be the best version of themselves.

  1. Ethnos (people-centered) Leadership
  2. Overcoming Negative Thoughts--Think Like God Thinks
  3. Mentoring Moments Podcasts

These 3 platforms contain the principles and precepts by which we help senior leaders reinforce their present leadership skills and the leadership development of new or emerging leaders.

As we apply the principles discovered in these teachings, we authentically change lives "making a difference" one life at a time. Change is constant and unavoidable. The growing leader understands the need to continue to change and evolve to meet the next leadership challenge.

Through the 2 training courses mentioned above, and the Mentoring Moments Podcasts, the goal is to help others to self-evaluate and self-reflect in order to reinforce or further develop their present leadership mindset and skillset to “Make A Difference Through Mentorship “in any organization, or environment at any time and anywhere.

A guiding principle and precept embedded in the Ethnos Equation simply says, “Your life is writing a story, a chapter each day by the deeds you do and the words you say. People will read what your life writes, whether faithless or true. What becomes your life story is up to you.”

This philosophy of “writing your life story” by our actions, conduct, and deeds also contains the mindset of servant leadership and making your leadership a best seller amongst those you lead.

This further empowers us to “Make A Difference” in the world in which we lead and live. Further actualized by the fact that “practiced principles produce proficiency that becomes the leader’s heritage and legacy.” We look forward to you becoming a part of our Making A Difference Through Mentorship family! Thank you for taking the time to visit us!

Ethnos Leadership

The Ethnos Leadership Process (ELP) is a principle centered, self-evaluating, self-reflective process of character reinforcement and current leadership skills for the seasoned or senior leader and character development for the new or emerging leader. The ELP concludes with the writing of the final Ethnography. For more information click the "learn more" button below.

Overcoming Negative Thoughts

Think Like God Thinks (Isaiah 55:8-9) is designed to equip the believer with the ability to Overcome Negative Thoughts. Neuroscientists and neuropsychologists tell us that the mind thinks between 60,080 thousand thoughts a day. That's an average of 2500 to 3300 thoughts per hour and most agree that over half of our thoughts are negative. Negative thoughts only come to hinder, harm and harass us but God equips us by His word to overcome any and all negative thoughts For more information about book and the ten session online course, click the "learn more" button below.

Ethnos Leadership Reviews

Twenty years ago Chaplain (Major) Greg Cruell was handpicked by the Army Chief of Chaplains for assignment to the United States Military Academy. No wonder. Chaplain Cruell both demonstrated and taught West Point cadets the essentials of godly leadership. The impact of his efforts continues to bear fruit throughout the Army in the shape and form of Ethnos Leadership.

In these troublesome days of disunity and racial discord throughout our land, Chaplain Greg Cruell is the right leader to both teach and mentor leadership to our military. Greg doesn't simply teach ethical leadership. He lives it!

Our world has never needed a program like Ethnos Leadership more.  We have an ethical, moral, spiritual leadership void at all levels of government, education, business, and the church.  Ethnos Leadership, a branch of Making A Difference Through Mentorship develops trustworthy, honest leaders.  I highly recommend this program.

-------------------------

As a college professor, my role extends to the community and includes relationship building on every level.  Whether serving on a board or attending a civic event, I have found one of the most effective ways to move connections forward is through purposeful relationships.

When first introduced to the Ethnos Leadership Process (ELP), I could immediately tell the weight of its value.  It is a well-designed system centered on leadership development through intentional mentorship.  Where some leadership models unwittingly focus on management practice, the ELP focuses on the development of leaders through a series of self-evaluation and self-reflection activities that lay the groundwork for the development of character and virtue, which are themselves the foundations of authentic leadership.

If you are a small business owner, a chief executive officer of a major corporation, the head of a household, a federal employee, an educator, a student…  If you want to rise to a higher level of leadership while simultaneously adding value to people around you, invest in the Ethnos Leadership Process.  You’ll be glad you did.

---------------------------

Ethnos leadership is not a leadership style, it is much more foundational. Ethnos leadership is a development process that helped me – a military leader; a business leader; a ministry leader; a family leader – transform from just serving as a leader to developing into a servant leader. The Ethnos Leadership model allowed me to use the self-evaluation and self-reflective leadership development process to identify my inner motivations as a leader.  As a servant leader, I found that I was not motivated by personalized power or benefit, but wanted to fulfill God’s mission for my organization, business, and family. Furthermore, I became motivated to fulfill God’s purpose in the lives of the people in which I was called to lead.

Leadership is primarily an expression of who we are. After being introduced to the Ethnos Leadership process, I evaluated and reflected on my character, capabilities, and competencies as a leader. The principles I learned helped me to express the reality that was within my heart as a leader to not focus on myself, but to have an intentional focus on the people I had the opportunity to lead.

If you are in a position of leadership, the Ethnos Leadership model is for you! If you are preparing to fulfill a calling of leadership in the future, the Ethnos Leadership model is for you! If you have a desire to evolve and be transformed as a more effective leader, the Ethnos Leadership model is for you!

Dr.  Gregory L. Cruell is the epitome of a spiritual leader of character, commitment, and courage who consistently lives above the common level of life.  Through his amazing journey of overcoming hardship, obstacles, and adversity he has been given keen insight into healing and strengthening relationships.  A gifted and inspirational speaker and author who understands how to develop leaders and how to develop a trust culture. I personally witnessed his transformational leadership in action as he cared for Soldiers and helped shape our nation’s future leaders at the United States Military Academy at West Point. His ability to cross all racial lines and treat everyone with honor, dignity, and respect is what is needed in this challenging time.  Don’t miss the opportunity to listen and learn from this caring and competent man of faith and compassion.
